We are seeking to hire an experienced Project Manager into an exciting Organisation within the Northeast of England.
Reporting to the Head of Projects, the Project Manager will be responsible for developing outstanding Project performance for both the Organisation and its customers.
The role will include the execution and delivery of assigned projects from initial PO receipt through to final delivery in accordance with company processes and procedures, with a strong focus on Quality, Cost and Delivery. As Project Manager you will be expected to take responsibility for overseeing all elements of a project from leading commercial meetings with customers and development of internal stakeholders through to overseeing the final delivery of products.
You will need to be able to develop sound working relationships across the business including, but not limited to, Commercial, Planning, Engineering and Quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hold contract reviews (standards, T & C’s regulations, and assumptions) whilst engaging stakeholders.
- Convey /communicate all aspects of change that may occur within the contract to the internal stakeholders.
- Hold regular project review meetings both internally and externally.
- Lead on issues arising from other areas of the business and provide a solutions-based approach • Maintain strict adherence to agreed schedules whilst managing risks and opportunities.
- Maintain communications and reporting lines with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain a financial overview of all aspects of the project.
- Capture all deviations from the agreed scope of work and facilitate costings.
- Manage the submission of concessions/NCR’S and facilitate actions from relevant stakeholders.
- Manage and control project documentation ensuring that it is correct when submitted for MRB collation.
- Actively partake in the development and improvement of the Project Team and processes
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
- A Technical engineering background/Degree is essential as the role requires the ability to confidently present/ discuss technical issues / solutions to customers and stakeholders.
- Significant Project Management experience and a proven history in the execution of Engineering / manufacturing projects
- A sound business acumen and an understanding of commercial principles, all underpinned by good analytical and numerate skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills with demonstrable collaborative behaviour
- High diligence
- The ability to balance QCD across a project and to engage in a pragmatic way with internal and external stakeholders.
- Have knowledge and experience of compliance with regulatory standards on health, safety and environmental standards.
- I.T. literate – Must be proficient in the use of Excel/Word/Power Point and MS Project
- Perform well against agreed timelines within a team environment.
- Confidence within a customer facing environment.

Essential:
- Significant Project Management experience.
- A Technical Background/Degree in engineering as a minimum.
- Proven history in successful execution of technical projects
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
- Heavy Engineering / Manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge and experience of compliance with Quality, Health & Safety, and environmental standards
